Biology Majors must earn a C- or better in all core courses prior to taking upper-level (3000-4000) Biology courses. Biology Majors must earn a C- or better in all core courses in order to graduate. Biology Majors are only allowed to repeat a core course once.
Biology majors may enter the Pre-Medical Professions concentration only after completing the core courses in the General concentration (or Ecology or Physiology & Behavior concentration). Biology majors must have completed all core courses with a grade of C- or better and have an overall GPA of 3.0 or better to enter the Pre-Medical Professions concentration.
Biology BS to Biotechnology MS
For the Biotechnology MS 4+1 programs, student:
- may declare their intent upon admission or prior to completion of 90 credits
- must have a 3.00 overall GPA prioir to enrolling in graduate classes their senior year
- take up to four (4) gradaute courses during their senior year that count towards the 120 credits required for their undergraduate degree
- In order to enroll in the gradaute program, students must complete their undergradute degree wit ha minimum 3.0 GPA, earn a B or better in each graduate course taken to date and submit a matriculation request with the admissions office.
